Turnk x StaffMe - Interview with Jean-Baptiste Achard

What Is StaffMe?

Launched in May 2016 by Jean-Baptiste Achard and Amaury d’Everlange, StaffMe is the first platform connecting young independent workers with companies for all types of one-off assignments, ranging from administrative support and logistics to sales events and other event-industry services.

StaffMe chose TurnK for support, its Salesforce integration and maintenance. In this interview, which is also available on YouTube, StaffMe co-founder Jean-Baptiste Achard shares his experience with TurnK.

What did StaffMe need before meeting TurnK? What benefits did the project deliver? How did choosing no-code help the company? What are StaffMe’s next steps? Jean-Baptiste tells us everything.

Interview with Jean-Baptiste Achard:

What challenge were you facing before meeting TurnK?

“At StaffMe, we have used Salesforce for sales outreach since the company launched, and the business has grown significantly. Today, more than fifteen salespeople use the tool every day, and it needs to evolve alongside the company’s changing requirements. That is why we called on TurnK: we needed a partner with whom we could continuously develop and improve the Salesforce platform used by our sales teams every day. TurnK’s team made this possible through several weeks of support, helping us make very tangible improvements to Salesforce and provide our salespeople with a much more powerful tool so they could perform their jobs more effectively.”

What benefits did TurnK’s work deliver?

“The immediate benefit for the sales team was obviously stronger sales activity, better lead follow-up, and a better understanding of customer needs. That improved customer understanding naturally contributed to StaffMe’s revenue growth.”

Why did you choose TurnK, and why did you choose no-code?

“I am a strong advocate of no-code. I believe it is a deep and powerful movement in the technology ecosystem that should be encouraged. When I learned that TurnK was launching Salesforce support using a 100% no-code or low-code approach, I thought we absolutely had to partner with them because this is the future of our ecosystem. It should be encouraged, and our internal teams should also become familiar with these new development practices, which have the advantage of being much more accessible to everyone. I genuinely recommend TurnK, and I recommend using no-code in your company to help it grow.”

What Are StaffMe’s Next Steps?

“StaffMe is a company that has grown significantly since its launch five years ago. Today, we also have other projects. StaffMe remains the student-jobs platform and continues to expand. In 2021, we almost doubled compared with the previous year, both in the number of students reached and the number of companies registered on the platform. Alongside it, we developed two other projects.

The first is a training organization, StaffMe Academy, which allows young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30 to develop a wide range of skills, such as creating a website, speaking in public, or understanding the fundamentals of marketing. We trained 1,200 young people in 2021 and aim to train 2,500 in 2022. It is an ambitious objective.

Finally, there is a third branch that we launched last year, in 2021, called EITI, an integration enterprise based on independent work. Through a defined ecosystem, it aims to support 150 young people who are very far removed from employment, so that after eighteen months, 70 of them can find sustainable employment, whether through a permanent contract or by creating a business. This valuable program is already delivering very positive results, and we will continue to develop it. Today the integration program operates only in Val-de-Marne, but we plan to offer it in Paris and Marseille in the coming months. There is much more to come.”
